i find it funny that the same people who worshiped Amy Lee and how amazing her voice is and pretty much stanned for her, the same people who called themselves Amy Lee fans, the really diehard fans who are creepy enough to post about her baby, are now going against her for releasing “Push the Button”. They did a complete 180 and now are commenting their sob stories about how they felt betrayed that Amy is doing music OTHER than Evanescence. I have news kids, SHE’S NOT THE SAME EMO GOTH AMY WHO WROTE ABOUT SAD AND DEPRESSING THINGS. She’s matured, married, and has a baby. obviously she’s not going to write about depressing shit every fucking album she releases. She grew up and so should her so called “fans”.
Everyone says that Aftermath is awesome, but I find it out average, epicaly boring at some points. I can not see, what is so great about Push the Button and Lockdown as everyone says. However, Dark Water is a nice relax song. But seriously, that thing is soooo overrated….
Krypteria has helped me through so much this year, specifically the album “Bloodangel’s Cry”. Some people seem to think they make a lot of breakup songs, but personally, I read a lot of them as more having to deal with things such as depression and suicide ideation and having been manipulated and abused (because I actually read the lyrics). They also have a lot of really positive songs, like “Concordia”, that make me feel like maybe I can be okay again, even if not now.
It does make me happy that Kristen is pro-marriage equality. I just hope it doesn’t create some sort of hateful backlash among Flyleaf’s more religiously devout fans.
I’m so happy that Chauntelle DuPree is writing music and singing. She has a beautiful voice and her writing is so different from Stacy and Sherri’s. Millstone is one of my favorite songs on Currents and I can’t wait until Rising Fawn releases their debut album. I hope it comes out soon. :)
Did anyone else know that Alissa White Gluz was an art teacher for elementary school students? I hope the students she taught look back on their teachings with her when their older and be like “Wow, my art teacher was Alissa White Gluz of Arch Enemy!”
has anyone heard anna murphys ( from eluveitie) solo album, cellar darling? its actually really really good though it is not metal at all.
I just listened to the preview of Meden Agan’s upcoming album, and I can’t help but notice that Maya Kampari, their new vocalist, sounds almost IDENTICAL to their previous singer - Iliana Tsakiraki. I guess the band had a very specific sound in mind that they wanted to maintain, but the similarity between their voices is crazy.
I wish Dirty Little Rabbits released more music. I’ve had their song “Hello” on repeat for over a day..
