I really love Stay the Night by Zedd ft. Hayley Williams. They are both very talented. And the fact that Hayley wrote the seconds verse (My favorite) makes it just a little bit more better
"Victim of Ritual" is pretty much the worst thing Tarja has ever done, solo or in Nightwish.
When I said, “The story of Cassie Bernall,” I wasn’t really referring to her death, but moreso her life before she died. If you listened to the lyrics of The Pretty Reckless’ “Light Me Up,” you might’ve understood what I meant better.
Ghost in my Emotion by Seasons End is such a good song. Is that band even around anymore? They are so cool!
I still can’t get past my issues with Amy Lee. Every time someone claims she’s a perfect angel I just get mad. Last time I checked, firing your bandmember via phone call is not exactly angelic behavior. She didn’t even have a good reason to do it either. He was only doing Evanescence for the money? What kind of excuse is that? Was he supposed to be doing it for free? He didn’t care enough about Evanescence? Does that matter even a little bit? He showed up every single night and didn’t miss a note for four years with Evanescence. He has a wife and kids he didn’t get to see for months at a time because he was touring with Evanescence. How is that ‘not caring about Evanescence’? He was talking about leaving the band, anyway? If that was true, that problem would’ve solved itself. Was it just too hard for her to let someone else make their own decisions for once? He wasn’t happy in Evanescence? Seriously? If being unhappy was a legitimate reason to be fired, Amy should’ve been fired back in the Fallen days. She had no excuse for her behavior, and I really can’t help but question who’s really to blame any time some new drama arises with her.
Everyone seems to think Anette waited to release the news that she was fired from Nightwish so she could promote her album, but no one accuses Amy Lee of doing the same thing by waiting to reveal that she was pregnant AND waiting to officially announce that she’s ditching Wind-Up to publicize her debut film score. People just love to hate on Anette for any reason they can find, it’s so not cool.
Speaking of Earth Day songs, does anyone know any other good songs about the environment/nature/wildlife by female frontd bands other than the 4 I mentioned yesterday?
porcelain and the tramps is good but i think she just goes by porcelain black now. and die mannequin is good. and juliet simms. icon for hire, new years day
Someone said that the song Lithium sounds like a prequel to the song Let It Go from Frozen, but I think the entire album of The Open Door is like its own Frozen soundtrack. Weight of the World would be about all the pressure Elsa feels to control her powers and how she wants Anna to let go of her to keep her safe “If you love me then let go of me”, Lose Control is about how Elsa just wants to stop suppressing her powers and stop living in fear “Just once in my life I think it’d be nice just to lose control”, Snow White Queen is about the scene where Elsa wakes up locked in the dungeon and Hans tries to use her to become the king “You belong to me my Snow White Queen”, “Wake up in a dream, frozen fear”, Your Star is about how Anna waits for Elsa to come see her again but never does “Though I patiently wait at your bedside”, “And I’m alone now”, “It’s growing colder without your love”, Good Enough is about Anna and Kristoff’s love and how she feels too awkward and second-best compared to her sister to find true love, Call Me When You’re Sober is about how Hans pretended to love Anna just to get to the throne but failed in the end “Must be exhausting to lose your own game”, “Don’t lie to me, just get your things I’ve made up your mind”, and perhaps the most convincing one of all is Like You, which is PERFECT for the scene where Anna freezes to death and Elsa cries for her, regretting all the time she spent shutting Anna out that she can’t get back “Melt away and leave us alone again”, “I believe our love can see us through in death”, “Blinding walls between us”, “No matter what they told you you’re not alone, I’ll be right beside you forevermore”. Plus the name “The Open Door” is referenced numerous times throughout the movie. I know none of this is actually true, but it’s crazy how many similarities there are.
